GTL: Gym, tan, let bygones be bygones?

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino wed his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, in New Jersey on Thursday (November 1) — and not to overshadow his beautiful bride, but it was actually another wedding party member who turned major heads: his surprising best man.

Sorrentino's best man was none other than—brace yourselves—his Jersey Shore castmate Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. You know, the guy who callously called Sorrentino "The Incarceration" and "The Probation" during Jersey Shore Family Vacation this year, pummeled him during a fist fight in Season 4, and engaged in a generally volatile relationship with him for years?

Yup, best man material right there!

In footage obtained by TMZ the night before The Sitch's big day, Sorrentino appeared to sit down with Ortiz-Magro for a heart-to-heart in a Morristown, New Jersey hotel, referring to him as his best man and expressing his hope that Ortiz-Magro would one day return the honor.

Sorrentino's decision comes as somewhat of a shock considering he's always seemed closer to his "MVP" brothers Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino, with his relationship with Ortiz-Magro being somewhat complicated considering the two men both vied for the affection of Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola back in Season 1. (Ronnie won that particular battle, but neither won the war.)

In June, the reality TV star told Entertainment Tonight that he had not yet decided on who, out of Pauly, Vinny and Ronnie, he would choose as his best man. It's unclear when he finally made his choice, but it was likely not an easy one to make.

Earlier this morning, Sorrentino sharing a loving message for his new bride on Instagram.

"Today I marry my best friend, My College Sweetheart, My everything. Together as a team we can accomplish anything ... I promise to be my best self everyday & make you proud to call yourself Mrs. Sorrentino," he wrote, sharing a photo of him and Pesce, who he proposed to back in April, smooching on a bench.
