UPDATE: Bobbitt has been apprehended in Philadelphia.

ORIGINAL STORY: Things are not looking good for Johnny Bobbitt, as he skipped out on a court appearance yesterday. A warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

If you haven't heard about him, he was one of three people involved in the recent GoFundMe scam. He was the homeless veteran who was supposed to get money for the good deed he did when he gave a woman, (Kate McClure) his last twenty dollars when he saw her stranded on the side of the highway with no gas.

The woman (Katelyn McClure) and her boyfriend (Mark D'Amico), who were from Florence, Burlington County, set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for Johnny. It raised about $400,000 in donations.

After it was found out that the campaign was fake because Johnny Bobbitt filed a suit against Kate McClure and her boyfriend Mark D’Amico claiming they were spending the money they received and not giving Bobbitt anything.

We later found out, they were all in on the scam and Bobbitt was just upset that he wasn't getting his fair share. Charges were filed against the trio for the fraudulent story, and GoFundMe even refunded the money to the donors (totaling about $400,000).

The judge had reportedly tried to make it a little easier on  Bobbitt. Harsher punishments seemed likely for McClure and D'Amico, but in light of yesterday's developments, it's not clear how great things will turn out for Bobbitt.

Bobbitt is scheduled to appear in court again on January 22.
