It's been a while since a little league team from New Jersey has won the Little League World Series. I'll never forget when I was younger and the little league team from Toms River were champions, it was pretty cool. My grandparents lived in Toms River at the time, so there were celebrations everywhere and tons of dedications for these young boys who brought the trophy back to New Jersey. It was pretty cool that a little league team from Elizabeth made it all the way to the 2019 Little League World Series and even though they didn't bring home the trophy, they will still be celebrated!

Many people gathered in Pennsylvania to welcome them home yesterday and it was heartwarming to see videos. They had a small rally to welcome the players home in Elizabeth yesterday, and according to News 12, an even bigger parade is being planned for these guys will be Friday September 6th.

Mayor Chris Bollwage tweeted the details of the Parade of Champions on his social media accounts and seems very proud of the Elmora little league players.
