Payless ShoeSource Plans to Reopen Some Stores
Payless ShoeSource has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy and are planning somewhat of a comeback, according to NJ.com.
They will relaunch their website in the United States and plan to reopen some of the stores they closed last year after filing for bankruptcy, the 2nd time in less than two years. The first time they filed was back in April of 2017.
Oh, I have some friends who will love this news. I wonder if the Payless in Quaker Bridge Mall will be one of the stores reopening...hmmmm. If it does, it won't be in the same spot. There's already a new store occupying that space, Barn Picks & Stuff, which I love, by the way.
I just went on Payless.com to check out what was going on there, and it says, "Payless is still here. New Year, New Shoes, Available at Amazon." When you click on shoes to buy, it takes you to Amazon. So, it hasn't been relaunched yet.
I'll keep you posted.
