Pennington, NJ Woman On Jeopardy! Tuesday Night

You may recognize one of the contestants on tomorrow night's (Tuesday, February 8th) episode of Jeopardy! National College Championship on ABC-TV, and streaming on Hulu.

Mercer Me is reporting that Catherine Zhang from Pennington will be competing. How exciting. I love when local people are on tv and I can say, "Hey, she lives near me." Lol.

Zhang graduated from Hopewell Valley High School in 2018. She's currently a senior at Cornell majoring in Computer Science and Sociology. Her teachers must be so proud....and her family too, obviously.

Zhang told Mercer Me, "I've been watching Jeopardy! since I was young, so learning that I was going to be on the show was unbelievably exciting and surreal. I was definitely pretty nervous going into the filming process, but, the producers made it such a wonderful experience, and I got to meet so many amazing students from around the country. I couldn't be more grateful to have had this opportunity, and I still can't quite believe I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of being on the show."

Zhang is one of thirty-six undergrad college students trying to win the grand prize of $250,000. Wow. The 2nd place prize is $100,000, and the student who comes in 3rd place will win $50,000.

Of course, we don't know the outcome yet, and Zhang isn't permitted to reveal how she did yet, so you're going to have to tune in starting tomorrow night to find out.
