CBS 3’s new morning meteorologist made her debut on Eyewitness News earlier today. Meteorologist Llarisa Abreu first appeared on the station’s Monday morning broadcast (February 10).

Abreu was most recently working at the NBC station in San Diego as a weekend weather anchor, Inquirer.com reports.

Abreu, a Jersey native, revealed on Facebook (in a live video from Jim Donovan) earlier this month that she was excited to be closer to home.

The station’s previous morning forecaster, Meteorologist Katie Fehlinger, left the station back in September 2019. Fehlinger said at the time that she was excited for a new life out of morning television.

"I now need to put my focus on my girls, my husband, the goal of a healthier lifestyle and the freedom that comes with setting my own schedule," Fehlinger wrote at the time of her departure.

At the time of her departure, Katie said that she planned to use her "motley skill set" in a new professional use, and of course, she looks forward to "sleeping IN until 5:30AM."

Abreus debut on Monday was met with positive feedback from viewers on social media:

Good luck, Llarisa. We'll be watching.
