Two girls from Princeton will be taking their golf clubs to Connecticut and we are rooting for them. According to Patch.com, Julia McLaughlin and Jessica Huang will be swinging their clubs at the 44th Girls Junior PGA Championship.

According to Patch.com, the state of Connecticut will be hosting their first Girls Junior PGA championships. JuniorPGAChampionship.com stated that all players must be 18 years of age or younger and McLaughlin and Huang are among 144 golfers who made it to the competition.

Patch.com disclosed that competitors will be representing 36 states and seven countries. States included are, New Jersey, Florida, California, among others. According to the Junior PGA Championship’s website, golfers will be playing a 72-hole and stroke-play. The course was built in 1927 and renovated in 2014.

The championship will be held at Keney Park in Hartford.  It began today (07/09) and will run until Friday July 12th. The winner will go home with the Patty Berg Trophy.
