The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm warning for most of Mercer County until 4:45 pm on Wednesday (as well as parts of Somerset, Monmouth and Middlesex counties).

The storm is capable of producing heavy rains with wind gusts up to 60 mph. They warn that hail is possible as well. Damage from the winds and or hail is possible to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

The storm was located over New Hope as of 4:04 pm. Towns included in the warning are: Trenton, Ewing, Princeton, Hightstown, Cranbury, Pennington, New Hope, Yardley, Hopewell, Windsor, Princeton Meadows, and Kingston.

Some of the storms today have already been producing large hail in parts of Pennsylvania.

More storms are possible through the evening. A tornado watch remains in effect until 8:00 pm for our entire area.
