Last week, we told you about how you could help name the newest addition to the Trenton Thunder's "bat dog" family.

Fans were given 5 names to choose from --- Dug, Dash, Scout, Bronx, and Ace.  (Click here to find out explanations behind the names).

Voting is complete and according to a post on the Thunder's Facebook page, the golden retriever puppy has been named Dash.

Dash is the 4th generation of Thunder bat dogs.  The tradition started with "Chase" in 2002.  He was followed by Chase, Derby, and the current bat dog, Rookie.

The Thunder's bat dog is so popular that it has even been featured in a special segment on ESPN.

According to the Thunder, Dash will be trained this year and will start retrieving bats during the 2021 season.

This season, the Thunder has introduced Dash's Puppy Pack, presented by Dogs and Cats Rule.  The pack includes tickets to 4 games where you can bring your own well-behaved dog to ARM & HAMMER Park, plus, a meet & greet with Dash.  For details, click here.
