An NJ Pizza Legend Returns to Open a New Location

Welcome back to a legend!! Jersey's pizza just got a whole lot better now that Anthony Mangieri is back!

Anthony Mangieri was born and raised in New Jersey. He opened his first pizzeria, Una Pizza Napoletano, at the Jersey Shore in the late 90s. He’s since opened locations in San Fransisco and New York, but now is returning to New Jersey with a location in the Atlantic Highlands, opening at the end of the summer.

He’s been called “The Pizza Pope” and has become known around the world for his perfect Neapolitan pizza. He even spent time with relatives in Italy to learn from the masters.

His locations in California and New York were successful, but Mangieri told the Asbury Park Press that it was always his plan to return to New Jersey.

The Jersey Shore residents who remember Mangieri’s pizza are excited for his return; we can’t wait to try it!
