I survived The Valley of Fear again — but let me tell you, there are very good reasons why I get butterflies, actually more like bats in my stomach, driving there every year.

The Original Haunted Hayride takes you deep into the very dark and creepy woods. Oh, you'll hear the screams of the people who have dared to go before you. Since I go every year, I always think I can predict where the scary people are going to pop out at me,but, nope, they all got me again this year. Yes, those blood curdling screams were mine.

After surviving the hayride, there's no resting, you'll head straight off the wagon into Valley of Fear's brand new attraction for 2019, Miles Manor — this was the most terrifying. I didn't think it would ever end. Imagine 12 rooms of horror. It was so dark I couldn't see two feet infront of me. I had a strong grip on Dave's arm the entire time. I wasn't being left alone to find my way out. No way. Lol. Five years ago, catastrophe engulfed Miles Manor, but it's risen from the ashes with new frightful characters at every corner. Beware of the nuns, that's all I'm going to tell you.

If you're brave enough to continue on, the ScaryTales Haunted Forest Walk is next. It's more like a terrified run through the forest for me. By this time, my voice is usually shot from screaming. Beware of the Madd Hatter, the Muffin Man, the Tweedles and so many other fairytale characters. Who knew they could be so twisted and scary. You will feel your heart pounding in your throat, trust me.

Up for a bigger challenge? The Operation Z Zombie Escape Adventure combines The Valley of Fear's best theatrics with an escape room and live-action paintball. "The Operation Z Compound is on lockdown and taken over with hordes of zombies," organizers explained. "It's up to you with an elite group of Special Forces Soldiers to break into the compound, get the power station up and running, sneak into the Contaminated Chamber to control the toxic gas leak, maneuver through the deadly laser fields and secure the compound." Oh, and who knows if zombies are the only monsters who roam the compound. Can you escape in time? This is intense, but, I made it out alive.

Valley of Fear is everything you and your friends want for some thrilling Halloween fun.
