A flight from Philadelphia to Orlando made an emergency landing in North Carolina due to a strange smell coming from the cockpit on Tuesday (April 2).

The American Airlines flight crew noticed what seemed like an "electrical fume" smell coming from inside the plane, according to a report from Philly Voice.

The flight from Philly had also taken off over 2 hours later than its original departure time.

Oxygen masks were deployed for all 184 passengers during the emergency landing, and no injuries were reported in the incident, according to officials. When the plane landed at Wilmington International Airport, the maintenance crew began to check and inspect the plane after it arrived safely at the gate.

I'm glad that the crew reported the problem because otherwise, it could've lead to some serious problems during the flight.
