TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshall's and HomeGoods, has a new store that is quickly adding stores all over the country, including New Jersey.  The store is called HomeSense. While the name is similar to HomeGoods, TJX says the two retailers are different.

According to the TJX website, "Homesense offers a shopping experience that complements its sister retail banner, HomeGoods, with expanded departments such as large-scale furniture, lighting, and art. Plus, the store includes like a general store and an "entertaining marketplace."

Within the last several months, HomeSense stores have opened in the Moorestown Mall and in the Lincoln Plaza Shopping Center next to the Oxford Valley Mall.  Now it appears that HomeSense is coming to Nassau Park Pavillon in Princeton. SITE Centers owns Nassau Park Pavilion and on the company's website, a map of the property shows HomeSense and TJ Maxx located next to Wegmans in the space that formerly was home to Kohls.

There is no word on when the 2 new stores will open, but this most likely means that the TJ Maxx in Mercer Mall will be closing.
