According to the Courier Post, Hobby Lobby is considering opening a new store in the Hillview Shopping Center in Cherry Hill, NJ.  The popular crafts store would take the space vacated by Babies R Us.

Hobby Lobby currently has ten locations in New Jersey (including Lawrenceville and Deptford). The company's website says that the first Hobby Lobby opened in Oklahoma City in 1970.  Almost 50 years later, there are over 800 locations, making it "the largest privately owned arts-and-crafts retailer in the world with approximately 32,000 employees and operating in forty-seven states."

While Hobby Lobby has many loyal fans, it also has many detractors.  You can read more about that on Wikipedia.

If you've never shopped at a Hobby Lobby, it is similar to AC Moore, Michaels, and JoAnn's.

Hillview Shopping Center, located on Route 38 across from Cherry Hill Mall, is currently home to Target, PetSmart, Kohls, and several other stores.
