With everything getting a little out of hand with the coronavirus monopolizing the news and everyone’s thoughts, sometimes the best thing to do is put your head down and work to make a difference.

An Instagram post of Rock star Jon Bon Jovi cleaning dishes at his restaurant, JBJ Soul Kitchen, in Red Bank, New Jersey, reminded people that every helping hand and helpful gesture counts towards something.

The post was simply captioned, “If you can’t do what you do... do what you can!”

JBJ Soul Kitchen is a community nonprofit restaurant run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. The restaurants New Jersey locations serve those in need by not charging for meals or listing prices but asking customers who can afford to pay to donate in order to cover the cost for those who can’t afford it. Outside of the COVID-19 crisis, the restaurant would also let people work for their meals by volunteering at their locations. Because of health concerns, this feature has been halted for the time being.
