Officer-Involved Shooting at Langhorne 7-Eleven Sends Suspect to Hospital
A man who was allegedly trying to rob a 7-Eleven store in Langhorne was shot by a police officer overnight.
The incident happened at the 7-Eleven store on North Pine Street in Langhorne, Bucks County, CBS 3 and other outlets report.
The officer was actually on duty investigating a recent series of robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Bucks County.
The store had recently been robbed three times, and a task force compromised of local officials and the FBI were working to investigate the string of robberies.
The would-be robber was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not made immediately clear, NBC10 reported. The store was closed overnight as law enforcement officials investigated the incident. In fact, as of 9 am, CBS3 reported that the store was still closed.
It is not clear yet if this attempted robbery was connected to the other incidents. Law enforcement officials are expected to release more details later today.
