We all know that celebrities are busy and they can't visit every sick fan of theirs because they have such demanding schedules. I think the same goes for sports mascots, especially if it's during their season. Mascots make their appearances during home games and if a team has a lot of home games in a row, that could mean one tired, hot and sweaty mascot. One of the most popular mascots in our area, the Phillie Phanatic is making headlines, but for a very very good reason.

The Phillie Phanatic managed to clear some time out of his busy schedule to pay a visit to a very special fan. Her name is Rose Liott and she is 103 years old and has been a Phillies fan forever! Rose has had some health issues ever since she suffered a stroke last year, so for her 103rd birthday, her family wanted to do something special for her. When the Phillie Phanatic walked in Rose smiled and had a wonderful visit with him. Rose has been a Phillies fan for a long time and even watches the games with a little stuffed Phillie Phanatic by her side. It looked like Rose had a wonderful birthday surprise and kudos to the Phillies Phanatic for making her day!
