Popular Philly Donut Shop Now Open In Newtown

Earlier this year, we told you about how one of Philly's favorite donut shops, Factory Donuts, planned on opening a store in Newtown, PA.   Well, that store just opened in the Village at Newtown, near the McCaffrey's supermarket.

David & Heather Restituto opened the first Factory Donuts on Frankford Ave. in Philly.  According to 1851franchise.com, David and Heather both worked for Rita's Italian Ice and that experience helped them when they decided to start their own franchise business.

At Factory Donuts, you can choose from a multitude of flavors, or you can create your own combination.  You can go basic --- glazed, powdered, cinnamon sugar or vanilla, strawberry or chocolate frosted.  Or you can go with something a little more creative, like Banana Foster, Chocolate Coconut Dream, Strawberry Lemonade, or their famous Maple Bacon Explosion.

All of the donuts are made fresh while you wait.  Other flavors include lemon meringue, caramel drizzle, blueberry bake, s'mores, french toast, and cookies and cream.

In addition to Philadelphia and Newtown, a Factory Donuts is also open in Media, PA and Doylestown, PA and Turnersville, NJ locations are coming soon.  And so is a store in Wellington, FL, near West Palm Beach.
