According to a post on the Cherry Hill Police Department's Facebook page, sobriety checkpoints will be set up throughout the township tonight.

The department says that sobriety "checkpoints are designed to make roadways safer by deterring and apprehending intoxicated drivers. High-visibility enforcement and media attention have made checkpoints an effective tool in removing impaired drivers from the roadways."

In the Facebook post, the department also offers advice to drivers...

According to MADD, "more than 300,000 incidents of drinking and driving" occur every day, resulting in "one death every 48 minutes."
