The wait is finally over. The Baked Bear has set a grand opening date in Princeton.

If you like warm, homemade cookies and ice cream (who doesn't?), you're going to love this place. The popular custom ice cream sandwich shop has landed on Witherspoon Street and is having an official grand opening celebration on Saturday (July 18) at noon. Get there to make your own creation.

The announcement was made on the shop's Instagram account.

The post reads, "Princeton, we're officially OPENING! Join us for our Grand Opening this Saturday, July 18 at 12:00 PM! To celebrate, the first 50 people in line will receive a FREE ice cream sandwich. 41 Witherspoon St Princeton, NJ 08540."

Did you read the free ice cream sandwich part? The first 50 people in line on Saturday (July 18) at noon, will get to indulge in one of their free ice cream sandwiches. Wow. It's sure to taste good in this hot weather. Don't be late.

You can create your own ice cream sandwich

The Baked Bear has over a dozen baked from scratch cookies (from original recipes) and ice cream flavors. You can choose either a homemade cookie or brownie for the top and bottom of your ice cream sandwich (or one of each). Then, you pick an ice cream flavor for the middle. Finally, you can have your ice cream sandwich rolled in any of the toppings (Heath Bar bits, almonds, sprinkles, Oreo crumbs, mini M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, Fruity Pebbles, and more), or warmed up.

There are two Cookie of the Month flavors, along with the others, and a rotating seasonal ice cream flavor. Besides amazing heavenly ice cream sandwiches, you can also get a sundae, cone, cup, or pints of ice cream. There are also Bear Bowls, which is a warm cookie or brownie bowl with ice cream.

The Baked Bear is new to Mercer County. There are only 4 other locations in New Jersey. You can find them in Asbury Park, Long Branch, New Brunswick, and Westfield. It also has a food truck that you may have seen around, spreading happiness at the Jersey Shore.

The grand opening of the new Princeton location is Saturday, July 18 at noon. The Baked Bear is located at 41 Witherspoon Street.
