What’s Replacing Sears at Freehold Raceway Mall?
Last August, we told you that Round 1, an entertainment complex similar to Dave & Busters, was coming to Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, PA.
Then in October, we heard rumors that Round 1 may be coming to Moorestown Mall.
Now according to Townsquare Media, Round 1 and Freehold Township are in preliminary talks to bring the complex to Freehold Raceway Mall (in the spot being vacated by Sears).
Round1, which started in Japan, describes itself as " a multi-entertainment facility offering Bowling, Arcade Games, Billiards, Karaoke, Ping Pong, Darts, and even a Kids Zone play area within the complex."
The company currently has a location in Fashion District in Philly. They're also planning on adding a location at Deptford Mall, which is owned by a Macerich. Macerich also owns Freehold Raceway Mall.
If Round 1 were to open in Freehold Raceway Mall, it would definitely provide competition to nearby iPlay America, which is located about 3 miles from the mall.
