An Iconic Philadelphia Movie Theater Is Closing

Just last week, we told you that The Ritz at the Bourse was the only area movie theater where you could currently see a couple of this year's Oscar-nominated Best Picture films.  Now we've learned that The Ritz at the Bourse plans on shutting its doors after this weekend.

According to Philadelphia Magazine, The Ritz at the Bourse, located on 4th Street between Market & Chestnut, has announced that it will show its last movie on Sunday (Jan. 26).

The announcement was confirmed by the theater's owner via a post on Twitter...

The Ritz at the Bourse is known as one of the few "art house" theaters in Philadelphia, showing many movies that traditionally do not get shown at larger multiplex theaters.
