Lower Southampton police department is looking to help the community stay safe by giving away free cable gun locks for residents of the area.

According to Bucks County Courier Times, the police department is really trying to prevent any more casualties from happening and supporting the "Ben's Campaign Lock It Up." This campaign was started after a toddler got ahold of his parents unsecured gun and unfortunately shot himself.

The Lower Southampton police department is also offering safety information that will help you and your children.

BucksCountyCourierTimes.com mentioned that the gun cable locks will be given away Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. You can get the gun locks at 1500 Desire Ave.
