I grew up in Middlesex County, but had a lot of friends who lived in Somerset and Hunterdon County. We'd all take turns driving to each other to meet up and have drinks and one of the halfway points for all of us was the TGI Fridays on the Flemington Circle in Flemington. We had a good time and even made friends with a lo of the bartenders there. Back in November of 2018, the TGI Fridays on the Flemington Circle abruptly closed and we were so sad to see it go. Since then I've moved to Mercer County, so we meet up in other spots, but still it was s mystery as to why this location closed because managers just said it was because of business reasons.

On October 30, 2019, it was confirmed that Red Crab Seafood would be replacing the TGI Fridays and My Central Jersey reports that it is now open for business.

They had a soft opening earlier this week and promoted it on their Facebook page. They are offering some great deals.

They will continue to stay open for takeout orders only until restaurants are allowed to have patrons inside. I'm sure one the Governor allows that, they may have a bigger opening than what they had. Or they may just skip it, who knows. But, if you've been waiting for something to go in that empty restaurant space where TGI Fridays used to be, and you like seafood, check out Red Crab Seafood. Check out their Facebook page for more info on the Flemington Circle location and check out this article from My Central Jersey to learn even more.
